Want to apply your technical and scientific skills to real-world issues? With approximately thirty staff and a wide range of clients we offer a diverse and challenging environment.

Compass Informatics are always looking to hear from people interested in joining us. In particular we look for people with a strong technical aptitude and an interest in applying their skills in applications relating to the natural sciences, geography, planning and socio-economics. We have team members based in Dublin but also teleworkers who work on contract.

The skills generally required include the following:

• Programming: .Net / C#, XML/XSL/SOAP, Silverlight, & Java/JSP
• Databases: SQL Server, Oracle & Oracle Spatial, MySQL ...
• Web development: Database-driven sites using .Net, Java, or various Open Source frameworks; Content and page design
• Data analysis & reporting: SSRS, SSIS, SSAS (SQL Server 2008); Spatial statistics
• GIS: .Net geomatics skills; ArcGIS including ArcObjects & ArcGIS Server development, geodatabase design; Open Source; OGC tools; Cadcorp, MapInfo, GeoMedia WebMap...
