Senior Developer

Role available immediately.

Central Attributes:

Main elements of role:

• Systems development and programming role. Hands-on development will be a substantial part of this role – likely ~60%.
• Solution architecture including design of solutions at tender stage, and refinement during design phases.
• Technical project progress oversight to maximise efficiencies and ensure optimal approaches and decisions.
• Technical mentoring to largely senior developers, including code reviews and paired programming.
• Technical assessments of previous systems with, for example, upgrades and new phases of development in mind.
• Technical investigations & discovery including of new technologies, with colleagues.

Summary technologies:

• Systems – .Net, SQL Server, Web, Mobile (native, Xamarin)
• Cloud infrastructure – Azure, as we hold an Azure Enterprise Agreement with Microsoft; AWS.
• Analytics – PowerBI especially.
• Geographical Information Systems interest / willingness to learn – Esri ArcGIS especially.

Some selected projects:

• Building a portal to visualise (dashboards, maps) mobile network data analysis for vehicle and people movement.
• GoParkit parking payments and management SaaS platform build.
• Agricultural web systems for farm plans formulation and reporting.
• Public transport data capture system with web and mobile elements.
• Public-facing systems on environmental & biodiversity data.
• Database assessment & modelling to create a key corporate database from previous legacy databases.

Senior GIS Analyst & Data Manager, Galway

We continue to welcome expressions of interest (with CV) for the pending senior GIS analyst / data manager role, based in Galway.  The role requires proven skills and experience in corporate level spatial data design and management in a SQL Server / Esri environment; spatial data analysis and data product development – which will be applied to marine spatial planning; and excellent communication, documentation, and teamwork skills. Assessment of candidates will recommence in the Autumn.
