Connected Capability Network (CCN) Launches as First in UK

Compass Informatics are proud to partner with UK Earth Observation Network for Sustainability (UK-EONS) CCN and help to advance sustainability through GIS technologies.

About the UK-EONS CCN

The UK-EONS CCN is the first pilot Connected Capability Network (CCN) aimed at uniting diverse communities across the UK to harness the transformative power of satellite data and space technology for sustainability challenges.

This momentous occasion marks a significant step towards unlocking the vast potential of earth observation (EO) technology to address global environmental concerns and foster a more sustainable future. By bringing together industry experts, academics, and stakeholders from across the UK, the UK-EONS CCN will act as a catalyst for collaboration, innovation, and development.

Compass Informatics, as part of the Tracsis group, is committed to contributing to the UK’s growing space ecosystem and our expertise in earth observation data processing and analytics aligns perfectly with the UK-EONS CCN’s mission to harness the power of space technology.

We are excited to be a part of this initiative and look forward to working alongside our partners as part of the monitoring committee to develop innovative solutions that can make a meaningful difference in protecting our planet.

UK-EONS, is part funded by the Satellite Applications Catapult, led by Space Hub Yorkshire (SHY) and supported by academic and industry partners. A launch event for UK-EONS will be held at the University of Leeds on 18th January 2024.
